Why Are We a Private Pay Practice?

Many families wonder why we don’t bill insurance directly. The truth is, most of the services we provide like music therapy and child life, are not covered by insurance— even though they are incredibly effective for children and teens. Insurance can also place limits on the type and frequency of sessions.

By being a private pay practice, we can:

• Focus on your child’s needs instead of insurance restrictions

• Offer flexible session lengths and formats

• Include parents and siblings in meaningful ways

We’re happy to provide superbills for sessions if you’d like to submit them to your insurance for possible reimbursement. However, please note that reimbursement is not guaranteed and depends on your insurance provider and plan.
